Making an application

All of the details about the process of making your application, including key dates and information explaining the process are found on this university page. The department has a useful page that thoroughly explains our typical conditional offers.

Open days and live chats

Open days give you the chance to visit the university where you can attend department talks, take a tour of campus and find out about university societies. If you can't make it to campus, or need further information following your visit, please join us at a live chat.

Offer holders

Offer holders should check out our departmental page for details of our offer holder days. Our pages on studying at Warwick and on possible destinations after your degree may help you in making your choice. This university page contains other useful information.

Entrance prizes

Studying for the STEP or TMUA exam is ideal preparation for university mathematics. Doing well in these exams, whilst not essential, can give you an an alternative route to meeting our offer (see here). You could even win a prize! Full details are on this page.

Intercalated years

An intercalated year provides an opportunity for you to gain employment experience in your area of interest, or to study abroad . If you opt for an intercalated year it takes place after your penultimate year, so when you come back you will be in your final year at Warwick. You do not need to mention this when applying, but can take this option after you start the degree.

Preparing for your degree

Our pages for new students point you to resources to help you prepare for your degree. The STEP webpage is also extremely useful, as the deeper questions in the STEP exam are quite representative of university mathematics. Data Science students may find it useful to take the course on Maths into Data Science and AI run by the Advanced Mathematics Support Programme.
