Cathy speaks about the difference WMG education has made over the last decade, and the impact that the work of the education team has on students' lives.
How long have you worked at WMG?
What is your earliest memory?
I remember being struck by the diversity of courses and research that was offered at WMG, even 10 years ago when I started.
Why do you choose to work for WMG?
Being in a student facing role, I can see the power of how WMG educates, and the incredible difference this makes to the personal and professional development of individuals, and the future careers of so many of our students.
Are you proud of WMG’s 40-year history and what does this mean to you?
I think what is particularly impressive about WMG’s 40 year history, is the degree to which the department has expanded and evolved, engaging in so many interconnected areas of research and education. WMG research is constantly pushing boundaries, and it’s very rewarding when this is also disseminated to the next generation through our education programmes.
What’s the best thing about WMG?
The best thing about WMG is the passion and dedication of the education team who inspire and enthuse their students, and equip them to really make a difference in the work place.
