He was a very special person with a laser-sharp mind – you could say that not only was he a Professor of Manufacturing, but of Business Administration because he understood completely how companies work and how things get done.

I have very rarely met someone of his calibre. And I think the real Kumar emerged whenever you had a problem. He was always about the next thing: ‘What’s the next step? What is it?’
