BiographyDr Kirsty Alsop completed her doctorate in 2022 within the Forensic Centre for Digital Scanning and 3D printing, WMG, University of Warwick supervised by Professor Mark Williams. She also has an undergraduate degree in Forensic Science (Keele University), a Masters in Forensic Archaeology and Anthropology (Cranfield University) and a Masters in Molecular Analytical Science (Warwick University). Her doctoral thesis, titled “3-dimensional imaging, analysis, and databasing of forensically relevant sharp force trauma” saw her using micro-CT imaging and multivariate statistical modelling to analyse forensic toolmarks on bone to predict tool characteristics. Dr Alsop has worked on over 75 homicide cases using micro-CT technology and has published related work in international, peer-reviewed forensic journals. Journal Publications
