FREE Places for sixth formers at Engineering Society Conferences.

We are pleased to offer free places for sixth formers at the University of Warwick student Engineering Society conferences. Year 12 or 13 students interested in engineering or science careers will learn about cutting-edge research, areas of development in industry and paths to engineering careers.

Teachers can request places for their students by completing this form. Please note that registering your interest does not guarantee a booking - places will be confirmed with you subject to availability.

Conferences start at approximately 1:30 pm (TBC) and continue into the evening, but you are free to leave at any convenient point during a conference.

Voyage: the future of transport - Wednesday 20th November 2019

This conference will focus on the future of travel and transportation and the companies shaping this future. The conference will have three main elements, beginning with talks from leading industry experts to highlight the cutting-edge research and developments currently taking place in the field. The talks will be followed by a networking lunch where attendees will have the opportunity to talk in a more personal way with companies and speakers and allow a break for an interactive demonstration of new technology changing our current perceptions of transportation. The conference will conclude with a chaired panel discussion with a mixture of prepared and audience questions.

Inspire: Journeys Worth Sharing - Wednesday 12th February 2020

This conference will be a TedX-style event where individuals working in industry and research will describe the journey from their academic studies to their career, enabling delegates to better understand and evaluate the potential paths to their desired job/career.
