What advice would you give to someone thinking about a career in STEM?

If you want to go into a STEM career I'd say you need to be curious, but also make sure you don't give up too easily. Sometimes you have to go back and redo designs.

If I had the time and money I would love to do a project that involves implementing green technologies like generating energy through solar panels in my home country.

Why is teaching STEM subjects so important?


When we teach a class we end up with hundreds of people with skills and knowledge that approach the world with a technical background, with engineering..

They can make the world more sustainable. Together we can make the world develop faster than if we do it on our own.

Clean Energy.

It is very important for Engineers to find ways of obtaining clean energy through renewable resources to act against the climate crisis and reduce harmful emissions released by burning fossil fuels. Such clean energy can be obtained from wind turbines which make use of the wind to convert mechanical energy into useful electrical energy. We learn how renewable resources like wind energy or solar energy are not reliable, however, engineers should keep pursuing finding efficient ways of maximising their use.
