Course: BEng Applied Engineering Degree Apprenticeship

Organisation: Airbus

Why did you decide to do a Degree Apprenticeship?

To me, the Supply Chain Operation Apprenticeship was a no brainer. Along with the main benefit of earning a competitive salary whilst you learn at a top 10 University, Airbus offers so much more. From the possibility of travelling to suppliers and other Airbus sites, to employee benefits like discounted shopping. With this apprenticeship you will gain invaluable 4 years’ experience at a world-class company, which is a brilliant way to kick-start your career.

Describe a typical day in your role?

My day to day job consists of helping manage suppliers and help mitigate risks to the Airbus Supply Chain. This role offers a high aspect of responsibility and you are treated as a valuable member of the team, which is great as in other apprenticeships this is not offered.

What do you most enjoy about your apprenticeship?

The main aspect I like about working in Airbus is the networking opportunities, in the 5 months that I have been at Airbus I have managed to branch my network and gain extremely useful contacts for the future.

I would definitely recommend this apprenticeship for anyone looking to make a significant start to their career!
