Applied Engineering Programme

Our pioneering Applied Engineering Programme (AEP) allows you to study for a Bachelor's in Engineering (BEng) while in full-time employment, or as part of a Degree Apprenticeship.

Our students come from a huge variety of areas in their companies, and can be of any age. For example, from those who have already completed standard apprenticeship schemes, those starting a Degree Apprenticeship, to more experienced staff looking to further develop their engineering skills and add value to their company.

Cyber Security Engineering

This BEng Degree Apprenticeship programme has been designed with employers in response to the need to train engineers to work on complex cyber physical systems. These systems are increasingly found in intelligent and connected transport systems, intelligent buildings and smart cities.

Upon successfully completing the apprenticeship programme, you will have gained the necessary skills and knowledge to fulfil the Engineering Council’s academic requirements for registration as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng).
