Coventry-based National B2B Centre recognised as the Best Regional Practice

The National B2B Centre, which is based in WMG at the University of Warwick won Best Institute of business consulting Regional Practice of the Year Award. The achievement of this award recognised the shared promotion of best practice in business support for local enterprise in the West Midlands.

The B2B Centre provides expert, impartial e-business support and advice to small and medium sized businesses and it has been very successful in helping its clients take advantage of internet based technologies. Its aims for the new decade are to help companies use e-business to move beyond “better” and to achieve a transformation in the way that they work.

Lynda Purser, Director of the Institute of Business Consulting (IBC), congratulated and presented the award to Martin King-Turner, Director at the National B2B centre.

Purser thanked Martin: “for sharing the IBC’s values in promoting best practice and supporting local enterprise at a pinnacle time when many small businesses are struggling to survive in the current economic crisis.” Purser further added that “the Institute is fortunate to have relationships with strong partners regionally to combat the negative impact the uncertain markets present.”

Martin was delighted to receive the IBC’s accolade “This award is a recognition of the efforts that the B2B Centre team have made in providing maximum value when engaging with clients. We look forward to helping more people to achieve even greater success in 2010.”
