PAVE UK Luncheon
PAVE UK Luncheon
At PAVE UK, we bring together the wider self-driving ecosystem to ensure that self-driving development in the UK is safe and responsible, in order to enhance public trust and acceptance of this transport innovation.
This October, PAVE UK is incredibly honoured to host a luncheon to welcome Prof Missy Cummings, an international expert and leader in the field of autonomous systems, to the UK, and she will give a talk on engineering safety for safety-critical applications, such as automated vehicles. A fireside chat will be hosted by Prof Sarah Sharples and Prof Cummings during the luncheon.
About Prof Missy Cummings:
Prof Missy Cummings is a Professor at George Mason University's College of Engineering and Computing, directing the Mason Responsible AI program and Mason Autonomy and Robotics Center. A former naval officer and one of the U.S. Navy's first female fighter pilots, she holds a B.S in Mathematics, an M.S in Space Systems Engineering, and a Ph.D in Systems Engineering. She is a Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Royal Aeronautical Society, and a Commissioner for the Global Commission on Responsible AI in the Military Domain.
