WMG strengthens long‑standing and highly valued relationships in India
Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) has enjoyed strong connections to Indian industry since its creation in 1980. As national relationships deepen between the UK and India, including the signing of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) in July 2025, there is a huge opportunity for mutual benefit.
Warwick's relationship with the Tata Group is a wonderful example of what can be achieved. The pioneering partnership was recognised when it won the Royal Academy of EngineeringLink opens in a new window’s highly esteemed Bhattacharyya AwardLink opens in a new window in October 2025.
Over the last decade, the partnership has delivered over 100 research projects, trained over 750 degree apprentices, and harnessed over £500m of investment.

Professor Greenwood said: “WMG regards Indian Industry and academia as key partners for our research and education activities. As UK-India relationships strengthen at a national level, we see great opportunities for growth and societal benefit on both sides. The messages we have received on this most recent visit indicate a clear willingness to do more, and we will be delighted to play our part in that.”
