Lisa has 25 years' experience in marketing and communications. After a few short years working in the private sector, she has spent the last 22 years working in the education sector within both FE and HE. Having previously worked at the University of Birmingham she joined WMG in 2009 and since then has developed the WMG brand, increased media profile for the group as well as individual academics, and developed a marketing and communications function.

Lisa attained the Chartered Institute of Marketing Postgraduate Diploma and a Business Administration degree. Her skills range across the whole marketing mix including marketing communications strategy, branding, media relations, integrated communications, VIP event management, internal communications and corporate relations.

As well as being a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Lisa served as a member of the Birmingham and Coventry branch for 14 years, becoming the Chair for the last three of those years, as well as a member of the West Midlands Regional Board. Whilst at University of Birmingham she contributed to the SCONUL 'marketing for libraries' publication writing the strategic marketing section.
