Dr Sudi Lahiri is Senior Research Fellow at WMG. She works with researchers from Health Systems Engineering, Clinical Medicine, Computer Science and Statistics to develop approaches aimed at understanding and reducing unnecessary variations in care. Some of these methodologies have been implemented by large NHS hospitals and have led to patents and publications. Through her work at University of Michigan-Ann Arbor School of Public Health, she examined health care needs of low income families in Detroit.

Through her doctoral training, using experimental design & longitudinal datasets spanning 25 years, Sudi examined pathways to long-term health of children in Chicago in partnership with the US Department of Health & Human Services. At UW-Madison School of Medicine & Public Health Comprehensive Cancer Center, she collaborated with researchers to evaluate the effects of city-wide smoking bans on residents.

Sudi has taught postgraduate course in Maternal and Child Health at UM-Ann Arbor School of Public Health; and Clinical Systems Improvement.
