Ceramics Facilities and Equipment
Processing and Characterising ceramic materials
From furnaces and flash sintering, through to cold sintering and characterisation, explore our Ceramics facilities and equipment.
Facilities
- Ceramic processing suite including rheological measurement, a range of ball mills, freeze drying, rotary evaporation, presses, and density measurement.
- Range of furnaces dedicated for ceramic work including high temperature (1800oC) tube furnace with controlled atmosphere.
- Custom built flash sintering facilities with in situ process monitoring capabilities.
- Custom built cold sintering facilities with in situ process monitoring capabilities.
- Microwave frequency permittivity measurement capability including position sensitive and resonant cavity.
- Characterisation facilities for mechanical, microstructural, electrical, thermal, and other properties of ceramics and ceramic composites are available either within our facilities, or in WMG or the University of Warwick Research Technology Platforms.
