Anechoic Faraday Chambers

Our two drive-in Anechoic Faraday Chambers are suitable for all bands and applications.

Equipment: Channel Sounding FR1

Determines the fundamental, over-the-air performance characteristics of a 5G NR transceiver pair. It can be vehicle-mounted. It operates at 3GPP Release 15 (All numerologies and channel bandwidths).

  • SMBV100B Vector Signal Generator capable of generating 5G NR waveforms, uplink and downlink, up to 6 GHz, 240 MHz bandwidth
  • FSV3007 Signal and Spectrum Analyser operating up to 7.5 GHz, analysis applications include 5G NR waveforms, uplink and downlink
  • BBA150 15 Watt Broadband Amplifier, extending the OTA transmit path to 300 m. Pathway to extend if required.

Based on Open Air Interface. Fully Scalable EPC capability

  • 3GPP Release 15 NSA-compliant SW/HW capable of completing a full attach
  • 2x2 MIMO for LTE anchor in 5G NSA mode
  • User-selectable bands for the LTE anchor
  • Full 5G NR numerology supports:
  • 2x2 MIMO
  • each channel up to 100 MHz BW
  • user-selectable bands in the FR1
  • bidirectional, payload capable

Equipment: NI 5G NR Non-Standalone Test User Equipment

NI Stand Alone 5G NR UE (Release 15) with upgrade to Release 16 shortly.

  • Fully 3GPP Release 15 NSA-compliant software capable of completing a full attach
  • Bidirectional, payload capable and usable
  • Interface: Ethernet protocol (currently we use UDP)
  • SIM-card allows usage on compliant networks (currently MFM)
  • Physical connector to the UE is mini-SAS HD.
