WMG Excellence Scholarships
WMG will be awarding over £1 million in scholarships and bursaries to students commencing study on full-time MSc programmes taught within the WMG department at Warwick, beginning in September 2026.
WMG Excellence Scholarships are merit-based awards, available on a competitive basis. With a student intake of over 1,300 each year, the scholarship scheme is designed to support excellence and diversity of perspective which will enrich the learning environment.
Applications will be judged on candidates' past academic achievements, professional experience, motivations, and vision for the future.
We have a range of award levels including £5,000, £10,000 and £15,000 tuition fees awards for International fee paying students and £2,000, £3,500 and £5,000 tuition fee awards for UK fee paying students.
Eligibility
- Applicants must hold an offer to study on a WMG full-time MSc course starting September 2026.
- Applicants should have an excellent academic track-record and/or strong professional profile in order to qualify for consideration.
- For conditional offer-holders, scholarship awards will also be conditional on achieving the awardee's final predicted grade.
- WMG Excellence Scholarships are for self-funded students only. NB: students with partial bursaries, on scholarship-loan schemes or partially funded by an external organisation may also be considered. Awardees should inform the scholarship committee if they are in receipt of another scholarship or are later awarded other funding.

- WMG scholarships and awards are for study on Warwick campus-based full-time MSc programmes only.
- WMG scholarships and awards are paid towards tuition fees only and cannot be paid in cash or towards accommodation or maintenance costs.
- WMG scholarships and awards are used across the WMG MSc portfolio to optimise nationality and gender diversity.
- WMG scholarships and awards will be reflected your CAS for visa application purposes.
