WMG Scholarships for African Students
In WMG, we welcome outstanding candidates from around the world. We encourage diversity of perspective, background, and experience and as such are pleased to offer a range of scholarships to celebrate that diversity.
- For students from Africa we provide the Africa Bursary - an automatic tuition fee discount of £4,000
- WMG Excellence Scholarships are merit-based with awards of £5,000, £8,000, £10,000, and £15,000
Eligibility criteria for the £4,000 automatic tuition fee bursary
- Students must have an offer to study on one of the WMG full-time MSc courses, starting September 2027.
- Students must be classified as overseas fee payers and be a national of an African Country.
- Students should be self-funded or funded through a student loan.
Eligibility criteria for the WMG Excellence Scholarship
- All candidates will be considered at the point of course application and scholarship awardees will be notified with or shortly after their course offer.
- Awards are based on a candidates academic track-record and/or strong professional profile.
- Please note that unsuccessful candidates will not be informed.
- WMG Excellence Scholarships are for self-funded students only. NB: students on scholarship-loan schemes or partially funded by an external organisation may also be considered. Awardees should inform the scholarship team if they are in receipt of another scholarship or are later awarded other funding.
- The WMG Excellence Scholarship will supersede the regional bursary.
Important information
- WMG scholarships and bursaries are for study on Warwick campus-based full-time MSc programmes only.
- WMG scholarships and bursaries are paid towards tuition fees only and cannot be paid in cash or towards accommodation or maintenance costs.
- WMG scholarships and bursaries are used across the WMG MSc portfolio to optimise nationality and gender diversity.
- WMG scholarships and bursaries will be reflected your CAS for visa application purposes.
