The University of Warwick's Centre for Teacher Education Receives Outstanding Ofsted Grade
The University of Warwick’s Centre for Teacher Education (CTE) has received a glowing report following a recent Ofsted inspection, highlighting the exceptional quality of training and support provided to its teaching trainees. The inspection report underscores the University’s commitment to nurturing future educators who are well-prepared and passionate about their careers.
CTE earns top grade in recent iQTS inspection
The Centre for Teacher Education has achieved a Grade 1 (highest grade) in a recent inspection by Penta International (a Department for Education-approved iQTS inspectorate).
The inspection found that the quality of leadership and management and the quality of the programme design and delivery exceed requirements and are exceptional.
They also found that the provision is compliant with iQTS criteria and all other core iQTS documents.
Celebrating 75 years of the Centre for Teacher Education!
The Centre for Teacher Education is celebrating 75 years of training teachers. This milestone symbolises the passion, ambition and commitment the department has towards training generations of teachers in the past, present and future, helping them to become the teachers they want to be with the expertise and support of CTE staff.
Ukrainian Educational Leadership Summer School
Over the summer, CTE colleagues have been working with Bo Kelestyn and Gwen Van Der Velden from Warwick Business School to create a ‘recognition of prior learning’ Postgraduate Certificate for a Ukrainian Educational Leadership Summer School. The module received course approval from EPQ over the summer and will enable a progression route to the CTE MA in Professional Education for attendees.
PGCE Art and Design Showcase 2023
Showcase 2023 is the fourth annual Art and Design online exhibition that celebrates the work of Art and Design trainees in the Centre for Teacher Education at Warwick. Trainees have made huge steps towards recontextualising art education, driven by the Warwick Teacher Values and a passionate commitment to maintaining and promoting the arts in schools.
