Year 2 Approved Optional Modules


    The following are approved optional modules for L100, L116 and LM1D Year 2 Students.

    Approved modules do not require you to complete an unusual option request form, but it is still your responsibility to ensure that you have met all relevant pre-requisitesLink opens in a new window and have obtained permission from the department offering the module. You must also ensure that the modules you choose meet your degree course regulations.

    If the module you are interested in is not listed here, please submit an Unusual Options Form (Monday 06th January 2025 09:00 UK time and will remain open till Friday 24th January 2025 17:00 UK time). Our modules co-ordinator will review the forms twice in a week as such you won't get a response straight away.

    The information on the approved modules can be found on the table below. Although the following modules are approved from the Economics Department, students will need to check with the relevant department for available spaces and follow their instructions in registering the module(s).

    Languages: Please refer to the Language Centre's website. You should also refer to the Undergraduate Handbook for departmental rules and guidance when selecting Language modules.

    All students wishing to take modules in Philosophy must have pre-registered their options. The form closed on Friday 24th May 2024. If you have not submitted the form, please check with Philosophy department if they have space in the module you are willing to take before registering your choice on eVision.

    You may only take 15 CATS of IATL modules across your Second and Final Years combined. Students who have completed their request form and have received an email from IATL confirming their place should register the module on eVision.
