Kaneeka Kapur, a final-year undergraduate student within Warwick Law School, has been awarded the 2021 Diana Award in recognition of her amazing work on Pardesi - a social action platform that she created to provide a space for South Asian women to be heard, seen and celebrated.

Law finalist Ruth Mukasa has successfully completed the Warwick Skills Portfolio Award (WSPA) this year. The WSPA scheme helps students to enhance their study skills and develop other skills that are not only valued by employers but also useful more broadly for students in their personal lives whilst studying at Warwick.

Warwick Law School is delighted to announce that eleven of our students have been selected to present at The British Conference for Undergraduate Research (BCUR) hosted by the University of Leeds in April this year. Law is one of only four departments at Warwick to have more than 10 students accepted to present.

Third year Law and Sociology student and SSLC Chair Lucy Young has been awarded a Warwick International Higher Education Academy (WIHEA) Fellowship. When asked how she felt about the news she told us, “I'm over the moon! I was quite nervous when I submitted my application, but I'm so glad I have the opportunity and resources to contribute towards substantial change across the university.”

First year law student Aidan Chan has become the first law student to successfully complete the Warwick Skills Portfolio Award (WSPA) this year. Second year Warwick law student Joshua Siriboe has been awarded the 2020 Freshfields Stephen Lawrence Scholarship. The Scheme was devised to address the disproportionate under-representation of black men from less privileged backgrounds in large commercial law firms and the City of London.

Payal Shah who recently graduated from our three year LLB degree has beat off stiff competition to be named as a finalist for The Future Lawyer of the Year Award 2020 sponsored by Allen & Overy.

We are delighted to announce that two of our recent graduates have been awarded The University’s Outstanding Student Contribution Award (OSCA) for 2020.
