Undergraduate Modules

UG modules 2025-26

We will be running module pre-registration for 2025/26 academic year. The module choice webform will be opening in early April 2025. For more information please see the Module Registration FAQs and Module Pre-registration Information PageLink opens in a new window.

If you are an external student (from outside the Department of Sociology) and are interested in taking a module in Sociology, please fill out our External Student Module Request FormLink opens in a new window. This form will open in September 2025, after we have allocated places to Sociology students.

If you have any questions about module choices for 2025/26, please email us at socugresource at warwick dot ac dot uk.

Please find below the undergraduate modules we are offering in 2025/26.

We aim to accommodate all students who wish to take a module, however, in the event that a module is oversubscribed, places will be allocated in the following priority order:

  • Students enrolled on the BA Sociology and BA Sociology and Criminology programmes
  • Joint Honours Students (with Sociology as one of their subjects)
  • Centre for Lifelong Learning 2+2 Students
  • Any other students not in any of the above categories
Module Availability

The Department of Sociology will make every effort to ensure that the modules listed here as available for 2025/26 will run. However, there is no guarantee that a particular optional module will run in any given year, or that it will be run by a particular academic colleague. Staff availability may change between now and September 2025 and this may mean that we are unable to run all of the modules currently listed.

Registering for Seminars

If you are a BA Sociology or BA Sociology & Criminology student, the administrative staff in Sociology will register your modules on e:Vision in September 2025. If you are a joint honours student (Politics, History, Law or Global Sustainable Development), please check with your home department what their process is for putting your module choices on the system.

Once your modules are registered on the system (e:Vision), you will be automatically added to the module/s on TabulaLink opens in a new window.

You will then need to go to the 'Small Groups' tab on Tabula and select which seminar you would like to attend for that module.
