The UK has seen a Christmas quite like no other, with warmer temperatures, record levels of rain, and a series of named storms, that have brought flooding and disruption across the country. As much of the country lies underwater or tries to recover from record-high floods, it is a reminder that we need to take decisive action to adapt to such events. The UK urgently needs a strategy for improving infrastructure, including flood defences, if we are to make our communities and country more resilient to a changing climate.
