- Funds will be released at the end of Spring Term 2026 on condition of good attendance and participation with planned cohort workshops and seminars.
- Funds can be used for direct costs only. If bidding for research assistants, applicants should clearly indicate what their work would include.
- Ineligible Costs include teaching relief; equipment in excess of £10k; estates and indirects.
- This scheme is open to Warwick staff from all disciplines. Members of faculty on fixed-term contracts may apply if they will be employed at Warwick during the proposed funded project period.
- Research students are ineligible for this scheme.
- Successful applicants will be asked to provide updates on the progress of their project.
- Investigator time should not normally exceed 10%, and all claims for PI time must be accompanied by written approval from the Head(s) of Department. Requests exceeding 10% may be considered where there are compelling circumstances to justify increased PI time, and with a supporting statement from the HoD which confirms that the department is able to accommodate the higher proportion. Research/project assistance can be costed at 100%.
- Appropriate Ethical Approval must be sought and granted where necessary and is the responsibility of the project Lead. Please ensure that you allow enough time for Ethical Review when planning your project.
- If applications are successful, overseas partners may be required to satisfactorily complete a due diligence questionnaire prior to any funding being released.
- If a collaboration agreement is deemed required with your project partners Research & Impact Services will manage the process of signing agreements.
- If a Green Levy is incurred due to the use of air travel, this should be covered by the applicant’s department.
- Applicants are expected to attend a final showcasing event in June 2026, at this they will be asked to present on their projects and report on future plans to extend and develop their PR work.
- Applicants we will be contacted a year after the close of the cohort to report on how their PR project has developed.
