Over 1,100 postgraduate research students participated in the survey this year (46% of total population).

As a thank you for completing PRES, all respondents were entered into a prize draw to win one of twenty £20 Amazon vouchers or a Postgraduate Summer Ball ticket (worth £45).

2017 Headline Results


Warwick ranked above average for overall satisfaction compared to the Sector.

Areas to be celebrated include supervisory standard, rated at 88% satisfaction rate, compared to a Sector average of 86% and a Russell Group average of 85%, and research culture, ranking 4% above the Sector average (Warwick - 70%, Sector - 66%).

Academic and central departments will be asked to consider the survey results to complete action plans. All departments are expected to communicate the survey outcomes and engage with students to formulate their action plans throughout the entire academic year and not just after the survey has completed.
