Festival of Postgraduate Research
Showcasing and celebrating research at Warwick
Research students make a vital contribution to the university. Innovative, interdisciplinary and path-breaking, the work being done by our PGRs is outstanding. But PGRs aren't just valued for their research. As tutors, they make a key contribution to teaching and learning. Many of the university's key international partnerships are underpinned by joint PhD programmes, which means our PGRs are important ambassadors for Warwick. And of course, PGRs are valued colleagues and members of the university community. It is for all these reasons that we want to celebrate you all and the work you do.What did the Festival include?
We came together on Thursday 23rd May 2024 either in person at The Slate or online for a fascinating day on Warwick postgraduate research.
The day included interactive talks on topics such as 'Overcoming challenges during your PhD' and 'Finding joy in your research'.
It also included PGRs showcasing their own research either in 3-minute talks or in a range of traditional and non-traditional formats.
Finally, it was an excellent opportunity for our PGR community to come together and enjoy ourselves over shared interests and some delicious food and drink!
