As we do not guarantee rooms on campus for postgraduate students, you may need to look for private accommodation off campus. The majority of postgraduates choose to live off campus and whilst you can conduct your own search for private accommodation, we advise to read the University's guidance on how to stay safe and avoid private accommodation scamsLink opens in a new window.

Please note that you'll need to have accepted your offer of study and be 'UF' in order to use Warwick Studentpad and search for suitable properties. To be eligible to book postgraduate accommodation on campus you'll need to be a full-time first year or returning postgraduate taught or postgraduate research student with an offer of study on a full-time course at the University for the full 2024/2025 academic year that you have accepted.

You'll need to hold an unconditional firm (UF) offer of study at Warwick.

Postgraduate accommodation is offered on a first-come first-served basis to eligible students, subject to availability. We have a number of options available for postgraduate students on campus and we aim to allocate as many postgraduates on campus as possible.

Postgraduate students are housed together in different flats to undergraduate students. Please bear in mind we may have more rooms adapted for accessibility requirements than are required for the academic year, so it is possible students who do not require adaptations may be allocated to an adapted room.

Depending on availability of rooms there may be room profiles assigned to certain residences when you look through the list of available options in the booking portal.

Room profiles may include quiet or single gender areas which can be selected. Please note that by selecting a quiet room profile you are requesting to live in an area/flat with other postgraduate students who have also selected a preference to live in a quieter environment.

If you have a disability, mental health or medical condition, you'll find details about the process to get supported and the medical evidence required by visiting our Specific Accommodation RequirementsLink opens in a new window webpage. You should ensure you are supported by Wellbeing and Student Support by 24 July 2024. We advise to submit any medical evidence in advance of this deadline to ensure there is enough time for it to be assessed.

In addition to getting supported as outlined above, you'll also need to book a suitable room through our online booking portal. We will then liaise with Wellbeing and Student Support to check that your room allocation is suitable after you have successfully booked a room.

Please be mindful that if you do not complete the process stated above, you may not be offered accommodation that meets your needs.

It is also a condition of booking that you meet the eligibility criteria, so please ensure you meet the eligibility criteria prior to booking a room. If you have booked a room and are not eligible, your booking will be of no effect and your booking will be cancelled. If for any reason you no longer meet the eligibility criteria once you have booked a room, you are responsible for contacting to let us know. In any event, your booking will be cancelled.

If any sum owed by the student to the University in relation to the accommodation or any other accommodation, including previous accommodation, owned or managed by the University remains unpaid for more than 21 days after the date on which it fell due the University shall be entitled to terminate the Contract with immediate effect by serving written notice to terminate on the Student. For the avoidance of doubt and by way of illustration only, such termination could occur prior to the commencement of the Period of Residence if the Student owes sums to the University in relation to accommodation owned or managed by the University from a previous academic year.

We have a very limited number of options for two students who wish to live together as a couple on campus.

If you are planning to live at Warwick with your family, unfortunately our postgraduate residences are not suitable as most rooms are single occupancy.

Due to high demand, we can only accept applications for postgraduate accommodation from full-year students starting in September 2024.

If you are a part-year postgraduate student, you can usually apply for part-year accommodationLink opens in a new window from mid-October time for accommodation from November onwards.

Our residence let lengths usually are not suitable for PGCE students, however you are welcome to book a campus room if you wish to, but please bear in mind that contract let lengths are fixed and cannot be amended.

You won't need to pay a deposit or booking fee in order to secure your postgraduate accommodation on campus. You simply need to select and book an available room using our instant online booking portal by accepting your online contract at the time of booking, and your accommodation fees will be added to your Warwick student account.
