Upcoming outputs from the Institutional Teaching and Learning Review (ITLR)

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has been involved in the Institutional Teaching and Learning Review (ITLR) 2023. It has been a truly collaborative effort, involving hundreds of staff and students from right across the University, and we appreciate all of the time and effort that everyone has contributed.

As well as meeting our regulatory requirements, we now have a hugely valuable and comprehensive picture of our quality assurance status, as well as a wealth of useful information about inspiring quality enhancement practice across our academic departments and professional services.

We know that you will be keen to discover the outcomes of the ITLR, and we are close to being able to publish the reports that have been produced over the course of the review process.

Panel reports and responses

The panel reports for each department and cluster that took part in ITLR 2023 will shortly be available as downloadable PDFs on the ITLR website. For each document and cluster, two documents will be available – the full report produced by the panel, and a summary of the report alongside the response from the department. We expect all of the reports to be available by early February, and will share these with you once they have been published. Thank you for your patience as we produce the final versions of the reports.

Full outcomes report

The full ITLR outcomes report will also be available in February, and will be shared at the same time as the panel reports and responses. The full report covers the ITLR outcomes in a significant amount of detail, alongside the common and bespoke themes. We will share examples of best practice from across the University, as well as highlighting opportunities for development.

Ahead Together: Co-Creating our 2030 Education and Student Experience Strategy

Leading on from the release of the ITLR reports, we will be holding a conference on campus from 10am-4pm on Thursday 29 February. At the event a series of keynotes and workshops will connect our learning from activity in 2022/23, including the Institutional Teaching and Learning Review, to the new strategy. We hope to see many of you there, particularly if you were involved in the ITLR. More information is available here - and places are limited, so register to attend today.
