Academic Partnership and Collaborative Provision Strategy

The University’s Strategy sets out ambitious aims to make Warwick a world-class University, whilst strengthening our sense of community and increasing our engagement with stakeholders in the local community and nationwide. These aims will be realised in different ways as we continue to develop collaborative research and teaching with leading Universities in Europe and around the world.

The University of Warwick academic partnerships and collaborative provision contributes to the achievement of the University’s four key strategic priorities and ethical and financial objectives. Each priority has its own priorities of which the following relate directly to academic partnerships:

Innovation

The development of innovative spaces on campus to enable and excite innovation with our business partners, staff and students;

Inclusion

The development of enhancement of alternative and sector led pathways to Warwick Education;

Regional leadership

Students in their progression to their choice of high quality employment through skills development, work experience, employer and alumni relations;

International

An institutional level, focus on the development of a small number of very significant and deep research and education partnerships.

The academic partnership and collaborative provision strategy will support the University four key strategic pillars by:

  • identifying new and building upon existing academic partnerships that align to the University four key strategic pillars;
  • ensuring maximum mutual benefit from all academic partnerships;
  • developing robust governance and management processes;
  • ensuring a high level of risk visibility;
  • applying appropriate criteria for partner selection and termination and divest from academic partnerships that do not deliver value to the University;

The EPQ Partnership Team and Partnership Committee will take lead responsibility for implementing this strategy, engaging with academic departments and schools in the University.
