Christmas Vacation Arrangements 2025
The Chaplaincy and Islamic Prayer Hall will be open every day during the Christmas vacation
A warm welcome is extended to students on campus during the University’s Christmas vacation between Saturday 13th December 2025 and Sunday 11th January 2026, including during the time when many University services are closed (24th December 2025 to 1st January 2026).
The Chaplaincy will be open to students every day from 7.30am to 10.30pm, from Wednesday 17th December to Monday 5th January, where there will be a lounge area with sofa, mock fireplace, Christmas tree and board games. In addition to the usual coffee and tea, there will be toast and toppings available in the Chaplaincy kitchen during the Christmas vacation. Any staff members who find themselves on campus over the Christmas Vacation are also very welcome.
Christian Services:

Sunday Church on Campus at 5pm will continue, until the last service on Sunday 7th December and will then restart 11th January.
- Staff and students are warmly invited to join the University Carol Service in the Chaplaincy with the University's Chamber Choir on Tuesday 9th December 4.30pm - 5.30pm followed by Festive refreshments.
Islamic prayers:
Congregational prayers will be held on Fridays as usual in the Islamic Prayer Hall.
