Society Storage
The Jewish and Muslim Societies can store items in the Jewish Meeting Room and Islamic Prayer centre subject to approval by their respective Chaplain. Other Societies have dedicated 'storage cubes' within a cupboard in the Chaplaincy Centre.
Storage Cubes
These can be used to store resources necessary for your Society's events such as, books, games, craft materials, cutlery, paper plates etc. You must not store perishable foods in your storage cubes.
You will need 2 keys to access your storage cube (one for the main Societies Cupboard's sliding door, and one for the individual storage cube). The main cupboard doors unlock clockwise (i.e. opposite to normal) and slide open. Each Society Cube has its own key but the main door key is shared: make sure you return the keys as soon as you've finished with them so that other Societies can access the cupboard.
The cleaners' cupboard is also housed within the main cupboard: you mustn't store anything in the carpeted area of the cupboard or on top of the cubes.
Student Faith Societies should check their allocated cubes and clear out items which are no longer needed at the end of each term. At the end of the academic year the cubes will be deep cleaned so we ask you to empty them completely at the end of Term 3 so this can take place.
The video on the right shows you how to access the storage cubes.
