On Monday 25 June a major conference event will see around 1,000 conference delegates coming to campus.

To support this event we are reserving the top 4 floors of car park 7 (next to the Arts Centre) for pre-registered attendees of the conference until 10am that day.

After 10am, any remaining spaces will be released to all. If you need to park before 10am, please follow the directions on yellow parking signs around campus to find an alternative parking space. You can also find more information on where to park on our car parking website.

Managing parking for conferences this summer

This summer, as with previous years, we will have many major conferences coming to campus. Conferences are working together with Campus Security and the Estates team to ensure we have a clear picture of how many vehicles we are likely to expect on campus in advance of major events so that we can manage parking effectively for all staff and visitors, having taken on board your feedback from previous years.

If extra parking is needed on a particular day, spaces will be reserved in either car park 7 (Arts Centre) or car park 8 (Sports Centre) depending on the nature of the event. The yellow traffic signs around campus will make it clear each day whether or not there are spaces available, and will direct staff and visitors to alternative parking if needed. We've expanded our shuttlebus service to help you get across campus if you're parking further from your building than usual.

We will release the reserved spaces as early as possible on affected days, monitoring the situation carefully to establish when all delegates have arrived.
