Find out about the Project Process

Please ensure that all the necessary information has been provided in the "Description and Justification for Project" section of the form. If you have already tried alternative solutions please include references to this, such as Docket numbers or email correspondence. This will ensure sufficient information is available for the University to make a prompt decision. Failure to provide this information may cause delays in processing your request.


 

Approval of budget

Is this request for a feasibility study? (required)

If you are unclear of the overall project requirements, are you requesting for Estates to undertake a feasibility study to establish the likely cost ahead of a budget approval ask?

If YES, please attach your department's finance agreement for feasibility costs to proceed at the end of this form.


 
Is this request for an ‘Approved Capital Plan’ project? (required)

If NO, you have either requested a feasibility study as above or have an alternative project budget approval. Please provide evidence of that approval (i.e. committee minute, senior post holder correspondence) by attaching at the end of the form. Use of academic departmental funds requires ARC approval. Non-academic department fund use requires a UEB sponsor approval.

Ideally projects should be registered around 12 months in advance of when works are expected to start (this may be longer if there are considerations around building fabric, planning etc).

Please advise on any specific requirements: Health, Safety, Environmental, urgent or reputational requirements.

 

Budget information

Project cost codes to be charged to department budgets for feasibility studies and use of approved department funds are provided by your departmental finance team.  A capital plan project will use an estates project code and can be sought from the Estates Finance team.

Please attach any relevant files (include any sketches, photographs etc) that may help in determining the best route forward for the project team. Please also attach evidence of financial approval.
