Overton

Tracking research impact on policy, guidelines, regulatory frameworks and think tanks

The University has a subscription to Overton, the world’s largest searchable database of policy-type documents.

The platform parses each document - finding references, people, and key concepts - and then links them to academic research, as well as to relevant news stories, think tank outputs and other policies. The platform helps us discover where Warwick research may be influencing or changing practice in the real world.

Access to this database supports us in exploring and tracking the impact of Warwick research, and will be of particular use as we work towards compiling Impact Case Studies for REF2029.

Walk-through Sessions

To help us take full advantage of the platform, the team from Overton will be hosting two ‘walk through’ sessions online (via Zoom):
