Working overseas

It is possible within the regulations of some degrees to undertake 'work' placements instead of studying at a partner university. Witihin the Erasmus+ programme, so within Europe it is also possible to undertake work placements and received the Erasmus grant

If you choose to do this, establishing your host institution will be your own responsibility. There are many ways that you can find opportunities:

  • personal/family connections
  • departmental records: some departments have had students undertaking work placements through study abroad for a number of years and will have lists of where students have previously studied
  •  Careers and Skills
  • The Study Abroad team has a list of where people have previously worked within Europe provide here
