CUHK International Summer School 2026

Undergraduate students are invited to apply for the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) International Summer School (ISS) 2026 from 21 June - 29 July 2026 or 3-26 August 2026. Courses are entirely taught in English except the language courses.

We are thrilled to offer up to 8 undergraduate students the opportunity to be nominated to attend up the CUHK ISS with application and tuition fee (up to HK$17,200, approx. £1,600) waived.

July session:

  • Application fee: HKD 200 – waived for top 8 selected students

  • Tuition fee: HKD 8,500 per course (max 2) – waived for top 8 selected students

  • Accommodation (on campus) optional but encouraged: HKD 6,080 and refundable hostel deposit of HKD 1,000

  • Administration and activities fee: HKD 4,000

  • Visa application fee: HKD 100-730

  • Refundable caution money: HKD 450

August session:

  • Application fee: HKD 200 – waived for top 8 selected students
  • Tuition fee: HKD 17,000 – waived for top 8 selected students
  • Textbook: HKD 265
  • Accommodation (on campus) optional but encouraged: HKD 3,680 and refundable hostel deposit of HKD 1,000

  • Administration and activities fee: HKD 2,650
  • Visa application fee: HKD 100-730
  • Refundable caution money: HKD 450

Applications close at noon on Tuesday 7 April 2026. All students will hear the outcome of their application by Friday 10 April 2026

For the purpose of this application all nominations must be made by Student Mobility

How do I apply?

You must be formally nominated through Student Mobility for the CUHK ISS. To do so you must complete the following steps by noon (UK time) on Tuesday 7 April 2026

Step 1

Review the opportunity and consider the dates and costs required

Source a referee from your academic department and ensure that they can provide a reference by the deadline - this must be received for your application to be considered

Step 2

Complete the short online application form before the deadline noon on Tuesday 7 April 2026

Step 3*

Arrange for your referee to complete an online reference (link below) for you before noon on Tuesday 7 April 2026

This should be someone from your academic department

We will confirm which students have been successful in being selected.

Next steps

We will notify all applicants of the outcome by 17:00 Friday 10 April 2026

* It is your responsibility to contact your referee and ensure your reference is completed in time, we will not be able to confirm receipt of your reference - you should ask your referee to confirm with you that they have submitted this. We can only review applications whose reference has been received

Please note that normally it is not possible for Warwick students to receive credit transfers from Summer Schools unless your home department has advertised an opportunity with such a possibility. It is up to your home department to agree to credit transfers so you will need to check this with them directly
