NTU GEM Trailblazer Summer 2026

Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore are running their GEM Trailblazer summer programme in 2 or 4 week sessions, from 19 June to 4 July 2026 and/or 2-18 July 2026. Courses are entirely taught in English except the language courses.

We are thrilled to offer up to 12 undergraduate students the opportunity to be nominated to attend up to two courses on a 2 or 4 week summer programme with the NTU with tuition fee (SGD 1,742, approx. £1,000 per course) waived.

Spend a summer in Singapore, the perfect 'soft landing' in the heart of the fast developing Asia-Pacific region and a springboard to explore the many cultures and languages in neighbouring countries surrounding around Singapore!

NTU's unique summer programme will bring you an unforgettable summer education. Choose from more than 35 courses across 5 tracks. From experiencing a full Asian cultural experience to opportunities in enhancing your future business career in Asia and staying abreast with the latest technology in 3D Printing!

Please note you will need to fund your own registration fee, administration fee, travel and accommodation costs. You may be able to apply for funding support and if this is available we will advise eligible applicants of this once confirmed.

Eligibility criteria

  • Undergraduate student
  • Minimum grade requirement of GPA of 2.5/5.0 or 2.0/4.0 (2ii minimum)

Residential Period:

Each intensive course under Track 1, 3, 4 and 5 is conducted over four weeks. Only the courses under Track 2 are conducted over two weeks.

2-week sessions:

  • Session 1~: 19 June - 4 July 2026

  • Session 2: 2-18 July 2026

4-week session:

  • ~19 June - 18 July 2026

~Early check-in at NTU halls available only between 09:00 and 17:00 on Friday 19 June 2026

22 June: Orientation and team bonding day

Programme fees:

Includes:

  • Tuition fees: SGD 1,742 per course (max 2) - waived for top 12 selected students
  • Registration fees: SGD 153
  • Administrative fees: SGD 917

Accommodation fee:

  • SGD 650 per 2-weeks

Accommodation is in:

  • NTU halls on campus, room only
  • Air-conditioned room
  • Twin-sharing with communal bathroom (same gender floors/ wings)

Applications close at noon on Thursday 26 February 2026. All students will hear the outcome of their application by Friday 6 March 2026

For the purpose of this application all nominations must be made by Student Mobility

How do I apply?

In order to be nominated for a tuition fee waived place on the GEM Trailblazer Summer, please complete the following steps by noon (UK time) on Thursday 26 February 2026

Step 1

Review the opportunity and consider the dates and costs required

Source a referee from your academic department and ensure that they can provide a reference by the deadline - this must be received for your application to be considered

Step 2

Complete the short online application form before the deadline noon on Thursday 26 February 2026

Step 3

Arrange for your referee to complete an online reference (link below) for you before noon on Thursday 26 February 2026. This should be someone from your academic department *

We will confirm which students have been successful in being nominated for a tuition fee waived place

Next steps

We will notify all applicants of the outcome by 17:00 Friday 6 March 2026

  • If you are selected you will need to confirm acceptance by noon Tuesday 10 March 2026
  • If you accept a place we will formally nominate you to NTU by Wednesday 11 March 2026
    • You will then be contacted by NTU who may require you to complete their online application; successful applicants will be required to pay the necessary fees within 5 working days of accepting their offer to secure a place

* It is your responsibility to contact your referee and ensure your reference is completed in time, we will not be able to confirm receipt of your reference - you should ask your referee to confirm with you that they have submitted this

# Please note that normally it is not possible for Warwick students to receive credit transfers from Summer Schools unless your home department has advertised an opportunity with such a possibility. It is up to your home department to agree to credit transfers so you will need to check this with them directly
