Hong Kong PolyU International Summer School 2026

The Hong Kong Polytechnical University (PolyU) are running their International Summer School (ISS) over 4 weeks, from 6 July - 7 August 2026

We are thrilled to offer up to 4 undergraduate students the opportunity to be nominated to attend with the programme and accommodation fee (worth HK$22,000) waived.

Please note you will need to fund your own administration fee, travel and accommodation costs. You may be able to apply for funding support and if this is available we will advise eligible applicants of this once confirmed.

Programme dates

6 July - 7 August 2026

Cost (in Hong Kong dollars)

Programme fees:

  • HK$17,000 - waived for top 4 selected students

Accommodation:

  • HK$5,000 - waived for top 4 selected students

Accommodation is:

  • On campus, room only

  • Twin-sharing (you will be assigned a roommate on a random basis)

Administration fee (to cover visa application and delivery)

  • HK$550 - only payable by students whose programme and accommodation fees are waived

 Funding opportunities

Applications close at noon on Friday 20 February 2026. All students will hear the outcome of their application by Wednesday 25 February 2026

For the purpose of this application all nominations must be made by Student Mobility

How do I apply?

In order to be nominated for a tuition and accommodation fee waived place on the PolyU ISS, please complete the following steps by noon (UK time) on Friday 20 February 2026

Step 1

Review the opportunity and consider the dates and costs required

Source a referee from your academic department and ensure that they can provide a reference by the deadline - this must be received for your application to be considered

Step 2

Complete the short online application form before the deadline noon on Friday 20 February 2026

Step 3*

Arrange for your referee to complete an online reference (link below) for you before noon on Friday 20 February 2026

This should be someone from your academic department *

We will confirm which students have been successful in being nominated

Next steps

We will notify all applicants of the outcome by 17:00 Wednesday 25 February 2026

  • If you are nominated, you will then be contacted by The Global Engagement Office (GEO) at PolyU
  • PolyU will require you to complete their online application by 10 March 2026; successful applicants will be required to pay the necessary fees to secure a place

* It is your responsibility to contact your referee and ensure your reference is completed in time, we will not be able to confirm receipt of your reference - you should ask your referee to confirm with you that they have submitted this. We can only review applications whose reference has been received

# Please note that normally it is not possible for Warwick students to receive credit transfers from Summer programmes unless your home department has advertised an opportunity with such a possibility. It is up to your home department to agree to credit transfers so you will need to check this with them directly
