Mental Health

Mental Health problems are common; in any year about one in four adults in Britain will experience at least one diagnosable mental health problem.

Mental health problems may be viewed as disturbances in the way in which people feel, think and behave and they can have a huge impact on everyday life. It is a huge topic which we cannot do justice to here but please look at these two video clips which try and give a little insight into how people can feel. If you would like more information on Mental Health conditions please visit our Disability and Training Information pages.

We have an increasing number of students who seek support because of depression, anxiety and other mental health problems. Stigma and discrimination remain a real problem for people with poor mental health.
