Taking trial online exams

Trial assessments are being made available for students taking examinations in the Summer via the Alternative Exams Portal (AEP). These are not marked, but will give you a practice run of engaging with the AEP ahead of starting your examinations. The trial assessments (not discipline related) will be listed in your AEP personalised timetable shortly and will be available from 09:30 BST on 8 May for up to 24 hours. We highly recommend you attempt the trial assessment, as it will help you feel more confident in using the AEP. Some departments may also provide mock assessments which will also appear in the AEP. These will be related to your specific discipline.

You will be able to access trial exams in WAS two weeks before your exam takes place. We strongly recommend you take a trial exam, so that you can familiarise yourself with the system and check for any technical problems well in advance of sitting your exam. Please note, this is different to your formal exam(s) which has a fixed start and end time. You will receive an email telling you that you have been enrolled on a trial assessment and the exams will be visible in the list of exams open to your participation, which you will see on the homepage of the Warwick Assessment System when you log in. For more information about formal exam timings, please refer to the Exam FAQsLink opens in a new window.
