Newsletter series for new students

You will receive an automated email about 48 hours after your offer becomes unconditional with detailed guidance on how to obtain a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS). Please note that from 28 July to 13 August 2026, it can take over a week before you can get this email due to essential systems processing.

Please read that email carefully and submit your CAS request as soon as possible, as it can take up to 10 working days, although we always try to process it faster!

If you haven't yet applied for your Student Visa, we encourage you to do so as soon as you're ready. You are not required to book any travel before you apply.

UKVI publishes standard processing time online. While waiting, please keep checking your email regularly in case further information is required.

Before travelling:

• Check all visa details are correct, especially your name and dates (visa start date and visa expiry date) - check your visa
• Create your eVisa account - register for an e-Visa
• Do not enter the UK before your visa start date

Apply online

Eligible undergraduate students who hold an unconditional firm offer of study from Warwick and apply by 18th August 2026, will be guaranteed an offer of university-allocated accommodation. This could be a room on campus or in our partnership accommodation off campus. We advise all first-year undergraduate students to apply for accommodation through the University: Prospective Students - Apply for Accommodation 2026/2027)

Most undergraduate students live on campus for their first year, offering a convenient way to experience University life. We also offer helpful cancellation terms for campus rooms if you are unable to start your studies due to visa issues or decide to defer your place.

If you're allocated a room in partnership accommodation off campus, we aim to house Warwick students together and you can be confident you'll have full access to Warwick’s student services, support networks, and events - so you can fully immerse yourself in the Warwick community, wherever you're living: Campus Residences at the University of Warwick)

Living on campus

As a postgraduate student, you can book a room on campus when you have accepted an unconditional offer of study from Warwick on a full-time course for the full 2026/27 academic year. Room bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability, so if you’d prefer to live on campus, we encourage you to book as soon as you become eligible.

If the residence you were hoping for isn’t available in the portal then it probably means it is fully-booked. You can continue to check the booking portal regularly, as rooms may be released back to the booking system if they become available.

Planning to live off campus?

Most postgraduate students live off campus. There is plenty of private accommodation available in the areas local to the University. We offer Warwick Studentpad, an exclusive property search platform for students holding an unconditional firm offer of study, to find accommodation off campus.

Warwick Students’ Union Advice Centre can also provide free, professional and confidential housing support. Before signing a tenancy agreement or paying any fees, make sure you understand your rights and responsibilities.

A few things to keep in mind:

• Some landlords may require a UK-based guarantor.
• Be aware of accommodation scams.
• Never transfer money before verifying that a property and landlord are legitimate.

At Warwick, there is a wide range of student accommodation on offer, along with plenty of support to help you find and secure accommodation. As an inbound Study Abroad student, you can apply for university-allocated accommodation through Warwick Accommodation or choose to arrange your own accommodation off campus.

Apply for accommodation

There are different instructions depending on your course start date, so please read the application guidance carefully. We encourage you to apply for accommodation online, however, please bear in mind that inbound study abroad students are not guaranteed to be allocated accommodation. We will endeavour to offer university-allocated accommodation - this could be a room on campus, but a large number of inbound study abroad students will be offered partnership accommodation off campus.

Whether you live in our campus residences or in partnership accommodation off campus, you'll meet new people and share new experiences, all whilst being supported by the services and amenities of the Warwick community.

If you have specific requirements for your accommodation due to a medical condition or support needs, you’ll need to complete the specific accommodation requirements process, alongside your accommodation application, by 17:00 on 17 August 2026. Requests approved after the deadline will be considered, but accommodation will be allocated depending on suitable availability.
