Alongside her doctoral studies Deborah has been involved in organising events for Warwick Business School and the Doctoral Training Centre, and during 2011-2012 was involved with the university-wide groups Centre of Women and Gender Studies, and the Research Exchange PhD Network . She has also organised a number of other events that you can read about here.

Deborah has worked freelance as a reserach assistant on a TESTA led project at the University of Birmingham. She has also assisted a member of research staff with the implementation of a qualitative survey using the software Qualtrics. She also has experience in working as a CV Advisor at the Careers and Employability Centre and coordinated the interdisciplinary network for the study of gender and sexuality 'Roles', both at the University of Birmingham. In her leisure time, Deborah enjoys dance. From 2011-2014 she taught regularly at the Warwick Argentine Tango Society and during that time collaborated with students to choreograph and produced two stage performances.
