Opportunities for current Warwick students
The Widening Participation and Outreach team at Warwick work with school children from primary school through to sixth from, and current Warwick students, working as ambassadors or mentors, play a vital role in the success of our work.
When asked to give feedback on a particular event or session, the majority of young people write about how much they enjoyed spending time with the ambassadors or mentors. Quite often, these young people may not know anyone from their family or local community who has been to university and getting to ask current students questions about what university is really like, and to meet students who are 'just like them' is really invaluable.
How to get involved
The easiest way is to make sure you have applied to become part of the Warwick Welcome Service (applications open in September/October each year and recruitment finishes in December). Being part of WWS will give you access to a huge variety of in-school and on-campus jobs, including Experience Warwick visits and the residential summer schools.
There are also Mentor roles available for specific Outreach programmes. Do check back to this page regularly to see what other opportunities have become available.
