This is a part-time short course to provide you with comprehensive knowledge of the skills and theoretical perspectives relating to leadership coaching and team coaching.
Leadership and Team coaching is a hot topic as organisations see an importance of developing leadership talent and team effectiveness. This is a part-time short course to provide you with comprehensive knowledge of the skills and theoretical perspectives relating to leadership coaching and team coaching. After successful completion, this course will give you a level 7 Postgraduate Award qualification. This blended learning course has a 2-day face-to-face skill based interactive workshop, plus virtual learning resource centre material accessible 24/7 to suit your needs. This short course is designed to develop systematic theoretical knowledge, skills in practice and self-awareness, focussing on coaching in organisations in which leadership coaching and team coaching are used. The course will provide an understanding of the skills and models of leadership and team coaching and the impact this has on the role and skill requirements of the coach.
The course is delivered by our faculty members who are experienced leadership and team coaches with significant business experience and able to integrate theory and professional practice.
This short course is designed for people from a wide range of backgrounds, including individuals who are currently involved in coaching and consulting work within an organisational context, people who wish to work in these areas and/or those who are interested in studying for personal interest.
The University's standard entrance requirement is an undergraduate degree graded at 2:2 in any discipline. Equivalent professional qualifications are also be considered. If you have alternative qualifications and relevant experience, you are welcome to discuss these with the course team.

Leadership and Team Coaching
This module provides students with comprehensive knowledge of the skills and theoretical perspectives relating to leadership coaching and team coaching. The module is designed to develop systematic theoretical knowledge, skills in practice and self-awareness, focussing on coaching in organisations in which leadership coaching and team coaching will be used. This module takes an andragogical approach, with individual learning at the centre. The module will involve blended learning consisting of intensive all-day workshops plus virtual learning environment including online private module learning material accompanied by webinar and/or tutorial.
The course is delivered by skilled tutors who are also experienced coaches and take a coaching approach to learning.
The course involves engaging in interactive 2-day workshops for each module, plus independent study, and virtual learning available 24/7. The workshops take place at The University of Warwick, usually over two days. There is no place on this course for lectures, everything we do is with coaching at its heart; the workshops are designed and delivered as team coaching events to role model coaching in everything that we do. Assignments are project-based and follow each workshop.
There is significant individual support available through the course team and assignments are project-based to demonstrate both your skills and knowledge and are completed following each workshop.
Class size header
A maximum of 21 students.
Assessment
You will be asked to write a 5000-word assignment which compares a case study example of either your leadership or team coaching with the best practice theories presented in the course material.

Your personalised timetable will be complete when you are registered for all modules, compulsory and optional, and you have been allocated to your lectures, seminars and other small group classes. Your compulsory modules will be registered for you when you join us.
