Postgraduate Fees and Funding

Academic Fees

There are two main costs for students undertaking postgraduate study - academic fees and living expenses.
Fee levels will vary depending upon your programme of study, and living costs will depend upon your lifestyle and spending patterns.

Fee Levels

Academic fees cover the cost of tuition, examinations and registration, and contribute to the cost of some student amenities. Postgraduate fees for 2018/19 are published by the Student Finance Office:

Living Costs

As well as tuition fees, students should budget for accommodation, food, books and other general expenditure such as clothes or leisure.

International students must be able to prove they have the necessary funds to cover these expenses. For more information on all costs see living expenses.

Funding and Scholarships

In 2015/16, we allocated over £33 million of scholarship funding to postgraduate students, helping outstanding individuals to get to the next level of their career.

We will allocate over 250 scholarships across all our subjects, for home and international students, through our departments, doctoral training centres, and central university funds.

Applications for postgraduate loans are open now. Find out more.

Further information about scholarships and other funding opportunities can be found via the Graduate School.

Funding and Scholarships

A number of funding opportunities are available for research students. Most scholarship competitions take place between November and May for courses starting the following year.

Those with children who are undertaking postgraduate studies should know that help and financial support are available, both from the Government and the University.

For more information, see Childcare Provision.

Taught Masters Scholarship Scheme

There are 100 scholarships of £10,000 available under the Warwick Taught Masters Scholarships Scheme, for taught masters students starting their course at Warwick this autumn.

The Warwick Taught Masters Scholarship has helped me to focus exclusively on my studies. The Scholarship represents a unique opportunity, giving students the financial freedom to dedicate their time to what interests and inspires them.
