Academic Life
Warwick is a hub of creative, pioneering thinking, bringing world-class research into teaching. We invite you to operate outside of your comfort zone, with teaching delivered by academics at the head of their fields. The many different perspectives of students from around the world will further challenge your thinking.
Innovative learning
We are constantly reviewing and refreshing our teaching methods. These may involve discussion, learning from visiting lecturers, or even role-play of real-world scenarios. Some courses also include a group or individual project, enabling you to apply your understanding to a specific question or challenge, and follow an area of acadmic interest.
Crossing subject boundaries
Increasingly, many of our courses are breaking down the divides between subjects. Instead, they use multiple perspectives to address the key issues facing our society such as modern healthcare, big data and cyber sercuirty.
No matter what subject you are studying, there are opportunities to take your learning further, such as modules from outside your department or interdisciplinary modules.
Career-focused
We also strive to prepare you for exciting future opportunities. Our links with business and industry, and skills development as part of your course, help you gain the advantage in the workplace.
Flexible approach
In an ever-changing world, we recognise the importance of a flexible, multi-faceted approach to teaching and learning. We adapted our curriculum to a blended learning approach to address the challenges presented by Covid-19, and will continue to be agile in our approach.
