IB requirements changed from:
36 including 5 in HL Chemistry and 5 in either HL Mathematics or Physics plus either 6 at SL in Biology; GCSE Biology grade B/grade 6; GCSE Double Science grades B, B/ grades 6, 6.
To:
36 including 5 in HL Biology.
Applicants not taking Chemistry at Higher Level must meet essential Chemistry requirements with:
• Grade 6 in Chemistry at Standard Level
• Grade B/6 in GCSE Chemistry (or equivalent)
• Grades BB/66 in GCSE Combined Science
And:
We welcome applications from candidates who meet the contextual eligibility criteria and whose predicted grades are close to, or slightly below, the contextual offer level. The typical contextual offer is 30 including 5 in Higher Level Biology and Chemistry, or 32 including 5 in Higher Level Chemistry and 5 in Higher Level Mathematics, or Physics, alongside Standard Level/GCSE Biology as above.

We have adjusted the A Level requirements to '...including Biology or Chemistry.', to 'Biology and Chemistry',

Following University approval, we have updated this course page. Here is a summary of the changes we have made:
- Removed 'important information' notices - see below
- Final year project, changed from a 'six-week research project' to 'an individual project'
- Adjusted contact hours, previously stating: You will receive 12-16 contact hours per week over 25 weeks. In your first year you should expect:
- around 10 lectures a week
- a full day in the laboratory
- a taught tutorial with your personal tutor and 6-7 of your peers - We have updated the module overview on the 'Modules' tab
- We have updated some the core modules for this degree for all years of study, particularly in Year One and some of the cores in Year Two
