School Warwick Visits

Years 7 and 8

Our Year 7 and 8 visits will run from 10 am - 1:00 pm and will introduce your students to the idea of University. They will have the chance to explore campus through activities and explore some of the ideas surrounding why they might choose to go onto Higher Education. Alongside this we will touch on selecting making choices for GCSE.

Years 9 and 10

Our Years 9 and 10 visits will run from 10 am - 1:00 pm and are ideal for students who are already thinking of Higher Education but need a bit more support and direction. We will take the students through the next steps through activities and discussions, as well as discussing alternative routes to University. They will also have the chance to go on a campus tour during their visit.

Years 11, 12 and 13

Our Years 11-13 visits are focused on enabling your students for the next step along their educational journey as they prepare to apply to University. This visit runs from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Each event enables your students to:

  • Hear from the Recruitment Team and current students to gain insight into what Warwick has to offer both academically and socially through a short presentation and Q&A
  • See our campus through a guided campus tour from a student ambassador

Subject Specific Visits and Opportunities for Students

Accessible Learning at the Library - Visits and Talks

(For all local schools)

The Library offers a range of services for students with disabilities and/or learning differences including assistive software, bookable study and sensory spaces, loanable equipment and personalised support from our Disability Support Officer. The Library is a key part of University life and we would like to show students that there is support available for them at Warwick.

The Widening Participation Officer and Disability Support Officer welcome visits to the Library. Alternatively we can arrange to give a talk at your school.

For more information please contact library@warwick.ac.uk with ‘Accessible Learning at the Library’ in the email.

WMG Engineering Opportunities

(Students from all Schools will be considered, but priority will be given to local schools with pupils from a Widening Participation background)

Warwick Manufacturing Group offers a number of different workshops and talks about Engineering to local primary and secondary schools.

Student Funding Sessions

(For all local schools)

The Student Funding Outreach Team can deliver workshops and presentations in schools to offer impartial information and guidance to Sixth Form students, teachers and parents.

We will provide students with an overview of how student finance works, covering entitlements through to loan repayments. We can also advise parents and teachers on how to best support their student as well as look at some of the financial challenges students might face and how these can be addressed.
