Changed description for year 3 from:
In your third year you will either choose to study abroad or complete a work placement.
Study Year Abroad
You will study abroad for a year at a host University approved by the department, achieving personal development in preparation for employment and global citizenship. You will experience and gain a deeper understanding of the social and cultural environment of the host city and broaden your understanding and knowledge of your subject specialism.
Work Placement Year
This module will enable you to increase your competitiveness on the job market by gaining experience beyond your degree, through an industrial placement.

You will be offered the opportunity to apply through a competitive application process to study abroad for a year at a host University approved by the department, achieving personal development in preparation for employment and global citizenship. You will experience and gain a deeper understanding of the social and cultural environment of the host city and broaden your understanding and knowledge of your subject specialism.
Work Placement Year
You will be offered the opportunity to increase your competitiveness on the job market by gaining experience beyond your degree, through a self-sourced industrial placement.
An industrial or work placement undertaken at Undergraduate BSc level can be taken in any type of role or industry as long as the work is deemed at graduate level. The placement year must be for a minimum of 40 weeks, is not credit bearing and is assessed at Pass/Fail level.
The student will be required to produce a poster and write a reflective essay alongside their placement.
