Engaging through CollectionsFAB 2.43This workshop will give you the tools to communicate the stories of your research through objects, in collaboration with galleries, libraries, archives and museums. Interactive exercises will suggest ways to unlock material literacy using close looking, creative responses, and display-making. Participants will also learn the practical essentials of object handling and how to navigate collections with confidence. |

International Engagement Learning Circle Talk SeriesOnlineThis session will involve 2 presentations from colleagues working in international engagement. Shameen Jinadasa from Central Queensland University, Australia will be discussing Engineering with Communities: Public Engagement in Humanitarian Engineering 9-9:30am, and Representatives from the Warwick Venice Centre will be speaking about their Public Engagement Strategy 9:30-10am. There will be an opportunity for questions after each talk. |

This introductory session will introduce you to key ideas around evaluation practice, why we conduct evaluation, and how this can be beneficial to you. We will explore a model for thinking about public engagement activities strategically and set out what your individual measures of success are. |

Public Engagement Masterclass: A Practical Introduction to Citizen ScienceOnlineThis training session will introduce you to the theory, history and practice of citizen science and scientific crowdsourcing. Then take you through the key practical questions to think about when planning and running a citizen science activity, using examples from real projects. The session will include a comfort break midway through. |

Collaboration and Communities Learning Circle MeetingOnlineThis meeting will spotlight two collaborative research projects, provide an update on public, patient and community involvement work at Warwick, and reflect on learnings from COLAB 4.0 while gathering ideas for COLAB 5.0. Attendees will also receive information on the upcoming Collaboration and Co-Production Fund and are invited to bring collaboration opportunities, ideas and questions to the group to test an idea or explore an issue. |

Podcasting for EngagementRamphalPodcasting can be a powerful tool to engage with difficult-to-reach audiences, expand professional networks, and become established as an authority in your field. In this training, you'll learn about the tools you need to create compelling podcasts about research, to engage with different audiences, and increase your overall impact. As well as discussing the creation of an engaging narrative, this session will also teach you all the practicalities of audio production you need to get started on your own. |
