City of Rome Residential Trip

The City of Rome course field trip for 2014 was supported by IATL funding and hosted at the British School at Rome.

This trip was conducted by Dr. Abigail Graham (course Co-ordinator for the British School at Rome's Taught course in Roman Epigraphy) and Ersin Hussein, a lecturer and former participant in the prestigious "City of Rome" graduate course offered by the BSR.

This four day field trip allowed 20 students of Warwick University's City of Rome course to further their knowledge and understanding through a "hands-on" approach to the Ancient City. Site and museum visits were supplemented with practical archaeological skills and tutorials on using resources and archives at the British School. We also collaborated with scholars from numerous schools and institutions in Rome. Students on the field trip also produced videos and image journals which will be presented to their classmates and put online as a university resource.
